Our Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered to all children ages 3 (bathroom trained) to 2nd grade (sacramental year). It is offered during the 9 a.m. Sunday Mass at St. Helen Campus in Hebron and during the 11:00 a.m. Mass at our Holy Spirit Campus in Winfield.

Children will be dismissed along with their adult catechists at the beginning of Mass to take part in the Sunday Scripture at their level. Children will return to Mass during the offertory.

We cover the Sunday Gospel and readings at a level the children can understand and enjoy. We enrich this with discussion, prayers, crafts and songs. We also try to raise awareness of God’s love, the humanity of Jesus, the Seasons of the Church, the understanding of symbols in the Mass and the context of the Bible.
